What are ITI Courses?
ITI Courses or Industrial Training Institute Courses educate and train students in practical skills and knowledge. Under DGET and the Union Government of India, one can study several ITI Courses such as certificate-level and vocational training courses. Individuals looking to join ITI must pass the tenth standard (SSLC/matriculation) or equivalent as it is the minimum requirement for admission to ITI. The institute provides instruction in two categories of ITI courses:

Candidates who are between 14 to 40 of age on the date of the start of the admission session are eligible for admission.

The requirement for educational qualification is 10th passed.

Age relaxation of five years is provided to ex-servicemen and war widows.

Courses Offered

The ITI Electrician is a 2-year course approved by the NCVT (National Council for Vocational Training). The electrician is a tradesman specializing in the electrical wiring of buildings, transmission lines, stationary machines, and related equipment. The electricians may be employed in the installation of new electrical components or maintenance and repair or existing electrical infrastructure. The electrician courses are generally focused on either construction or maintenance, although many do both.



ITI Fitter is a 2-year course approved by the NCVT (National Council for Vocational Training). The Fitter ITI trade details are related to the mechanical branch. In this course, the candidates will be able to get knowledge about fittings like Pipe fittings, Machine fitting, and structure fittings. In easy words, one can say that a technician who puts together or installs Machinery, plants, machines, and other mechanical products is called a Fitter.
